This has worried me from the beginning - the first 50 videos of awful people being awful and getting called Karens have the feeling of street justice. but for every woman who has earned the moniker there will be 10.000 more women that are called Karen unjustly as a way to shut them down and silence them. (even for women NOT being openly racist, classist, and awful). As we get further away from the original meaning, it will just become another word used to oppress women with a broad stereotype.
